We first attended the Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas when it was their first year. With our favorite bands in the lineup, beautiful fall weather, and camera in hand, we headed into the 3 day weekend to give you a glimpse of what makes Life is Beautiful so special.
Not only did we see our favorite artists, but we took our time to explore the food, art, and speakers. Within the past few years, this festival has grown exponentially to become one of the largest and top festivals in the US.

What is the Life is Beautiful Festival
Life is Beautiful is an annual festival celebrating music, food, art, comedy, and learning held in downtown Las Vegas. It started in 2013 as a three-day event and is now one of the world’s largest festivals.
The whole purpose of the festival is to shift perspectives. By exposing yourself to new experiences and getting yourself outside your comfort zone, you’ll learn to see the world differently.
General Information
When is Life is Beautiful
Life is Beautiful is happening September 22-24, 2023 with gates being open from 2 PM to 1 AM and performances starting at 3 PM. The festival happens rain or shine, although rain is rare in Vegas.
Where is Life is Beautiful
Life is Beautiful takes over 18-city blocks in Downtown Las Vegas and runs from 7th to 11th street and from Mesquite to Carson Avenue.
Festival entrances are located at Fremont and 7th St, as well as Fremont and 11th St.
Life is Beautiful Tickets
There are four types of tickets for Life is Beautiful.
- General Admission (GA)
- VIP
- VIP+
- All-In
You can either get a single-day ticket or a 3-day ticket.
Pro Tip: When tickets are sold out, you can look for second-hand tickets on the Official Ticket Exchange. It’s the safest way to buy tickets.
General Admission Tickets
Single Day $150 | 3-Day $330
You get access to Life is Beautiful including all four stages, culinary villages, comedy shows, idea showcases, and immersive art experiences.
VIP Tickets
Single Day $310 | 3-Day $685
In addition to getting access to the festival, you also get to hang out in the spacious lounge areas with prime-stage viewing, concierge services, exclusive food vendors, specialty drinks, and air-conditioned restrooms. Plus, you get to use the express entry lanes.
VIP+ Tickets
Single Day $675 | 3-Day $1495
All of the above plus access to elevated viewing at select stages (great if you’re short like me), exclusive pop-up culinary experiences, mixology demos, complimentary beverages, and more.
All In Tickets
Single Day $1350 | 3-Day $2995
You get everything and access to the Artist Hospitality Lounge, exclusive culinary offerings, shuttle service between stages, food, drinks, and a commemorative festival gift.
Hospitality Suites
Single Day $20,000 | 3-Day $50,000
If you plan on going with more than 25 people, get a suite! Not only will you have your own space with amazing views of the main stage, but it comes with 25 three-day VIP tickets and your own dedicated open bar, and a curated food program each day.

There is so much to see at Life is Beautiful. Most people are drawn to the festival because of the musical acts, but don’t miss all the other experiences!
Music
Music is the main reason most people attend Life is Beautiful. Past artists include Foo Fighters (they were amazing!), Gorillaz, Billie Eilish, Change the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Lionel Richie, Muse, The Weeknd, and more.
The 2021 Headliners include Billie Eilish, Tame Impala, Megan Thee Stallion, Modest Mouse, Ludacris, and more.
Comedy
This year features The Kicker Comedy & More with 15+ acts including, Sarah Cooper, Bob the Drag Queen, Nico Santos, Trevor Wallace, Ziwe, and Sam Jay.
Culinary
Get a taste of local cuisine and cocktails from over 70 Las Vegas and regional restaurants and bars. There are four main areas:
- The Cookout – Live fire cooking curated by Justin Kingsley Hall of Main St Provisions.
- Cocktail School – Learn from some of the best mixologists in Las Vegas organized by Bryant Jane and Lyle Cervenka of Starboard Tack/Hardway 8.
- Omakase Cantina – An exclusive and intimate dining experience curated by Secret Burger’s Jolene Mannina (additional tickets required unless you have the All-In ticket).
- The Farm Stand – Vegan food curated by Diana Edelman of Vegans, Baby.

Art
Local, national, and world artists gather in Las Vegas to transform downtown Las Vegas. Some of the art sticks around, like murals, while others are only available during the festival.
House of Yes
Brought to you from Brooklyn, check out performance spectacles, parades, and dance parties letting you express yourself however you’d like. There’s also a Tiki Kiki Day Lounge where you can get pampered at the beauty bar and play games.
This is one of our favorite local spots downtown. During Life is Beautiful, they feature local music and DJs.
They also run Market in the Alley where you can shop from over 50 local hand-makers, artists, and curators of found goods.

How Much Does it Cost to Attend Life is Beautiful - A Cost Breakdown
There are a lot of factors that determine how much a weekend at Life is Beautiful is going to cost, but using some of the most common situations, here is a rough cost breakdown for the weekend.
Tickets ($350) – Tickets run from a one-day general admission at $150 to the all in all weekend at $3000. Let’s just assume you’ll attend the whole weekend with a GA ticket.
Hotel ($900) – Hotel prices surge significantly during the Life is Beautiful weekend. For example, Hotel California which is within walking distance is usually a cheaper hotel but inflates to $800 a night. Most strip hotels go up 2-3x price with an average of $250 a night.
Food + Booze ($450) – Eating and drinking on the strip or at a festival is pricey. You can easily spend $150 a day. With that said, if you have a car, there are a ton of cheaper eats off the strip that are delicious. But assuming you’ll be spending most of your time at the festival, we’ll keep it at $150/day.
Transportation ($150) – Getting to and from the airport will roughly be $40 round trip. Add in a ride to and from the festival if you’re staying on the strip and you’ll easily rack up another $100ish for the weekend.
Airfare (Varies) – Whether you’re flying in or driving in, you’ll have some expense with it. I’ll let you add that in when calculating your cost.
TOTAL ~$1850 + Transportation – You’re looking at roughly $1850 as a total cost. The plus side is you’re probably going to the festival with other people so you can split the cost of hotel and transportation. Plus, you can always eat cheaper.

Where do I enter Life is Beautiful?
Entrance gates are located at Fremont & 7th St and Fremont and 11th St.
How old do you have to be to attend Life is Beautiful?
Life is beautiful is for all ages. Anyone 2 or older requires a wrist band.
What if I lose my wristband?
Your wristband is your ticket. It cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. They are non-transferable, non-exchangeable. and void if tampered with.
Do I need to Activate my Wristband?
You must activate your wristband before entering the festival. You can do it starting September 10th through the Life is Beautiful Mobile App.
Where do I go for the Park & Ride Shuttle?
If you purchased a Park & Ride Shuttle pass, park at the World Market Center (495 S Grand Central Parkway) and access the round-trip shuttle. A pass is required for each individual, and it will run throughout the duration of the event.
Can I bring a bag in?
Small bags & purses are allowed (up to 6″ x 8″ x 3″). You can also bring in a backpack with multiple pockets as long as it is made of clear plastic, clear vinyl, or clear pvc.
Lastly, you can bring hydration packs in as long as they are empty and smaller than 2.5L. Standard backpacks with hydration bladders are not allowed.
What is Allowed in?
Backpacks or bags follow the guidelines above, binoculars blankets, chapstick, e-cigs, capes, gum, hand sanitizer, personal cameras (no detachable lens), portable phone chargers, refillable water bottles, sealed cigarettes, sealed eye drops, sealed lighters, sealed OTC meds, sealed sunscreen (non-aerosol), sealed tampons.
What is Not Allowed in?
Aerosol cans, air horns, balls or projectiles, camera accessories/mounts, camera equipment with a detachable lens, chairs, lawn furniture, coolers, costume face masks, costumes that resemble public safety uniforms, drones, explosives, fireworks, flags, glass, hard plastic glow sticks, hula-hoops, illegal substances, inflatable toys/furniture, laptops, tablets, laser pointers, liquids, musical instrument, outside food or beverages, pets, picnic baskets, promotional items, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, shade structures, sharp objects, large chains, spiked jewelry, strollers, carts, wagons, totems, tote bags, walkie-talkies, water guns, water balloons, and weapons of any kind.
Can I leave and re-enter?
GA guests can leave and re-enter 3 times per day. All additional tickets are allowed unlimited entry and re-entry. Before leaving, be sure to scan out, or you won’t be allowed back in.
What is your Covid-19 Policy?
You must provide proof that you are fully vaccinated or proof of a negative Covid-19 test that was taken within 72 hours leading up to the Life is Beautiful Festival. Unvaccinated guests must wear a mask throughout their time in the festival.
Do I have to wear a Mask?
Non-vaccinated guests must wear masks at all times. Vaccinated guests are recommended to wear a mask, but it is not required outdoors. All guests must wear masks at indoor locations per state guidelines.
Essential Tips
- Avoid peak entry times between 5-7 PM.
- Carry emergency contact info with you in your wallet or on your phone’s lock screen. Also, register your wristband with your emergency contact info.
- Stay hydrated!
- Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.
- Be aware of your belongings at all times.
- Dress for the weather! It can still be hot in September in Las Vegas.
- Designate a meeting spot for you and your group.
- Arrive early and give yourself extra time to get through security.
